I’ve been coming to Kia Cerritos for years, and while service was never amazing, it’s gotten significantly worse. A few years ago, my car was damaged at the dealership and they denied responsibility, only offering to “buff it out.” Since then, I’ve continued going for convenience, but the wait times are always excessive—even with a 7 AM appointment, I don’t get my car back until 12–1 PM. Attempting to take advantage of the less knowledgeable. My wife took my Telluride in for an oil change because the last dealership seized the drain plug when performing warranty work. They notified her that the brake pads only had 2mm left and needed replaced ASAP. I told her not to do that because I’m able to change brake pads on my own. I pulled the wheels off to begin the work and lo and behold there was close to 5mm left on the pads! They also stated the engine air filter needed replaced. Después de 3 intentos de llevar mi carro a este dealer mi carro es nuevo comprado en este dealer, lo lleve una primera vez por un sonido, me dijeron que no tenía ningún sonido, al volver a casa escuche el sonido otra vez, me devolví al dealer y me hicieron esperar delante de ellos que el sonido existía, efectivamente escucharon el sonido y me dijeron que iban a repararlo, después de 6 días me llamaron que le cambiaron una pully belt, una polea de la correa.. The service department is the worst of any dealership I have ever used. They will do or say anything to avoid warranty covered service. They claimed that I cleaned my engine (which I didn't) and that caused a short in a wiring harness so the repair would not be covered under warranty. Another time, they suggested that I should go home and super glue a part that had come loose. . They have a lot of turnover in service reps. Avoid this dealership and try KIA of Irvine for great customer service.
