The ride from Khancoban to Kiandra is spectacular!
A Long challenging climb up from Khancoban direction with fantastic views. Traffic was minimal with just a few caravans passing. Several grassy areas where you can take a break as well as camping areas and the huts if needed. Re-supply at Cabramurra was closed as I passed. Started in Tintralda before dawn and finished the day in Adaminaby.
This drive completes the loop around Kosciuszko linking Khancoban with Kiandra on the Snowy Mountains highway. Everything around this area is beautiful. So many different vistas from plateau mountains to deep valleys, grass plains to forests of different types. Do the whole circuit in a day with plenty of time to stop and enjoy nature or the small towns on the way.
