An incredible find in challenging space of high-quality pediatric psychiatrists. Thorough and personal intake, option to do telehealth visits for nearly all appointments, responsive to portal messages, and also very well informed. There's always an interest in the lowest effective dose and finding the right fit medication. Both my boys benefit from the guidance of Dr. Khan and Katie, which means our family can thrive.
they prescribed me random, name brand, newer medications every other session, presumably for the kickback from the companies. don’t go.
My son has been going to this practice since he was 17 and is now 20. My son was a noncompliant patient. He wouldn’t follow through on care. Katie and Dr. Khan have been patient and kind through the entire process and my son finally buckled down and decided he did want change. He is such a different human, huge changes started in October. Thank you to this practice.
I’ve been going to Austin Family Psychiatry for about 4 years now and can proudly say that they have always been there for me. With ADHD I’ve had to go through 2 different stim and non stim medications which was an annoying process. When I had finally found one that worked the best, it was ultimately declined by my insurance company. AFP was familiar with pesky insurance companies with how incredible stingy the could be.
