83k of hiking through some stunning and changing landscapes over 6 days, I can thoroughly recommend booking with K’gari Walking Tours. The planning, logistics and travel arrangements were great. The prepared meals and ready-to-cook evening meals were generous, nutritious and delicious. The tent and sleeping mats were comfy enough for this 74-year-old! K'gari is absolutely stunning, and this is a brilliant, peaceful way to see it. It is extremely well organised and safe, the food is plentiful and healthy, and the camping equipment is great. The briefings and maps leave no uncertainty about the journey each day. It's very good value too. Big thanks to our guide Graeme for his knowledge of the island, too.
We had a very enjoyable and varied walk with swims, forests and great camping areas. Our guide was very knowledgeable so we got a good overview of the history of the island
The trails on the island were amazing with beautiful scenery. K'gari walking tours was well organised, and Jane was helpful in personalising the tour for the needs of our group of four. It was lovely to arrive at the campsite every night to have it set up and there were delicious fresh veggies for dinner and other scrumptious treats (packed lunches were also great). I did the 7-day Pack-Free Camping hike with a family group of 4, well-led by Grahame. K'gari itself was stunning. The gear and set-up was all fit for purpose and as described on the website. In particular, I appreciated the flexibility of Grahame (and the support team back on the mainland) in varying our itinerary in the face of inclement--indeed dangerous--weather, so that we were about to maximise our camping and hiking experience.
