Wanted to cash a KEY BANK issued check today. Not an account holder there. $7.50 fee, scanned both sides of my license, I needed to list "an occupation" and a "contact number" - and the contact number is not a phone number but my FULL social security number??? Seriously? What gives you the right/authority to require a SS #? First and last check I will take there.
My 18-yr old son recently opened a savings account with Key Bank in Lockport NY. TODAY he received an unusual email and phone call from Yvonne M. asking him to take a picture of his social security card and email it to her. I called the bank and had to leave a voicemail to speak with the manager. On the line with the fraud dept now. Awaiting a call back from the GM. ATM frequently not working both inside and outside. ATM ate my debit card and wouldn’t complete my transaction. Automated system was a nightmare. I had to take off work and come in the next day to take care of it.
I came in this morning to advise the bank I would be traveling. The gentleman at the counter was so helpful, kind and very friendly
