My previous rheumatologist left AGH. So I called and scheduled this appointment. When I pulled in the parking lot after an hour drive they told me that scheduling messed up and booked me for the wrong amount of time and I would have to reschedule another day. They could have called me anytime previously to reschedule and I would have understood but to wait 10 mins until my appointment when I’m already here and offer nothing but an I’m sorry to me is unacceptable.
I like Dr. Joyce. I saw him initially because I wanted to be connected to a Rheumatologist since I was suspected to have Sjogrens from a Dr many years before. He is very personable, speaks to you like you’re an equal. Explains issues easily and go over your bloodwork thoroughly. 6 months later, I had to see him for a concern and he remembered me and had a plan going forward that we both agreed on.
Great doctor have been seeing him since Dr.Killian retired. So several years. He keeps up on bloodwork and discusses options with you. Glad I chose him to see.
Specifically requested to see him after another person recommended him as knowledgeable, waited months for the appointment. A few days before the appointment, was called and was told they would habe to ask if he would see me because I had seen a PA within their system and unless I had a complaint, I needed to see her and be referred to her. I had no complaints about the PA, I hadn't seen her in two years and just wanted a new opinion. I did not want my search for another opinion to be viewed as negative for the PA .
