Very pushy with medication, even for things I don't have any issues with, like thyroid. He just kept insisting I need it and I probably feel tired, even though I don't. I went to another doctor and they said I don't need any medication if I'm not experiencing any issues and have nothing wrong on my blood work. Also nickles and dimes on annuals, tries to get you to do all kinds of extra tests and then charges you for them.
I am not telling others whether they should or should not visit this location. I am simply sharing my personal experience so others can make their own informed decision. My experience with Dr. Mangum himself was generally decent, but my experience with the office staff was far below the level of professionalism I expect from a healthcare practice. I came in to see Dr. Kevin Mangum for a medical concern regarding my feet that has not responded to standard home care. Unfortunately, the appointment felt rushed and dismissive—he didn't bother to examine or look at my feet at all. A primary care provider should at least conduct a basic physical exam for the issue a patient comes in for, or provide a referral to a specialist if it requires a dermatologist. I will be looking for care elsewhere.
Neglectful - No Compassion I’ve been seeing Kevin for 2 years for my yearly. As I sat in the room today for 30 minutes unattended I had time to reflect. Each visit has been like a machine and not like a doctor looking to build long term relationships. Each visit, new students with no real knowledge of what they are doing, again, simply machines. Where’s the real interactions and personality building these days? At best, keep to the schedule or adjust accordingly before people walk out after waiting 30 minutes.
Disappointed in Dr. Mangum overall. I’m new to physical sports, have been practicing the past 4 years or so. I had a severe muscle tear in my back, and with this being the first major injury I wasn’t sure what exactly it was or how to heal it. I appreciate that Dr. Mangum took my concerns seriously.
