I really like his demeanor, his calmness relaxes me makes me feel when he's with me that we're the only people on the planet, I feel his focus, is on me and my problem
The appointment I had with Dr. Kim was one of the worst medical appointments I have ever had in my life. He had terrible bedside manner, not interested in answering any of my questions, and he was incredibly dismissive. And he just walked out on us at the end of the appointment--no goodbye, no follow up, nothing.
Horrible bedside manner, always short when I asked questions, and no sense of urgency to assist his patients.
I was diagnosed and assigned to Dr, Kim...have nothing but praise for Dr. Kim.......he was friendly, answered questions and I feel I am in good hands.in fact glad to have this chance.as I filled out one survey, and it displayed a negative survey.....I have no negative feelings about him.
My wife and I retired to Santa Maria from LA in 2020. Although I was skeptical at first if we would receive the same good, attentive ITP treatment as she received in LA. I can say unequivocally that Dr. Kim gives excellent care and treatment. We are especially pleased that all treatment (transfusions) can be done in the hematology/chemo room in the same facility of Dr. Kim's office instead of having to use the hospital emergency.
My wife has Thrombocytopenia. We retired from LA to Santa Maria in 2020. During our 18 years of marriage my wife's platelet have dropped and was treated too numerous times to count. My wife has limited English and I am her health advocate. I know what procedures are necessary and required for treating ITP. Whenever I ask Dr. Kim pointed questions about treatment, he just looks at me like I have two heads. The last straw was my wife's platelets dropped to 10 this week.
