When I first started seeing Dr. Saujani I was prescribed a medication that made me start RAPIDLY gaining weight. I complained that I didn't like it and she told me she didn't want to change it because "birth control doesn't make you fat. Food does. Have you tried cutting carbs out of your diet?" I found this extremely inappropriate and insensitive but brushed it off. The next time I went to see her was because I was in massive amounts of pain and had a suspicion that something was wrong. I am so glad that I found Dr. Saujani. She is kind and caring and looks out for the best interest of her patients.
This doctor did not even ask about the problems I was experiencing that I came in for. All she did was tell me my test results were normal and pushed to put me on birth control. Even when I tried to tell her how I was feeling, she did not listen. I had heard good recommendations about her from people, but it did not show. Very disappointing.
