My daughter was sent to Dr. Byrnes back in 2022 for weight loss from not being able to swallow. He ran test and established it was her gallbladder. We were told she would be ok and within a week we were back with the same issue. We got a second opinion and they referred us to LSU Shreveport where they discovered that nothing was wrong with her gallbladder and it was removed for no reason. I am covering myself by saying, this is my personal experience and the memories I have of everything that occured. I have waited quite awhile to place a review in order to let my anger subside. August 27, 2018, i presented to Springhill med cntr with upper abdomen pain at approx 3am on Monday morning. After testing, it was determined to be my gallbladder. Unfortunately, due to privacy concerns, I cannot provide specific details about my visit with Dr. Byrnes. However, I feel morally obligated to share my experience for the benefit of future patients. During my consultation with Dr. Byrnes, he recommended the most invasive treatment for my condition. Fortunately, I sought second opinions from other doctors who suggested a less invasive procedure that yielded excellent results.
