Great experience
Beautiful, interesting worth the stop
Gift shop is free. Much can be seen off tour. However, the brief tour gives short history of Mardi Gras, parades, and floats. See how the artists go from design concept through various methods of constructing, painting, and finishing the props. The many hugh fans made the warehouse comfortable. Paint fumes and dust was not a problem. A bonus sample of King Cake was provided by our light hearted, comedic guide, Lucky, at the start of the tour.
Enjoyed the movie showing the history of Mardi Gras after which a sample of King Cake was given. The tour was colorful, interesting, and informative. Since this was also a working studio we got to see a few artist making or repairing pieces for the floats.
Tour was awesome I always wondered how floats were made. The hard working krewe were getting busy on those floats and king cake was great. Congratulations Lucky
