Charming small church, active older congregation. Very warm, friendly, and welcoming. Fabulous music. Vibrant men’s and women’s groups.
I was married here in 1881. The photographer was supposedly a professional but alas, we have no pictures. Never the less, it was a beautiful wedding in a beautiful church. After the ceremony we walked to 2 blocks to my grandparents house on Jessie Street. It was May, the giant wisteria vines (no longer there) covered the side porches and were in full bloom.
