I went to this ER for stroke-like symptoms after a concussion, including slurred speech, dizziness, nausea, left-side weakness, chest pain, and numbness. Despite my clear symptoms, they focused only on the concussion and discharged me without treatment. I was sent home still dizzy and delirious, almost wrecked my car on the way back, and now cannot even hold my baby in my left arm. They told me my bloodwork was "fine" when it actually showed low potassium, an electrolyte imbalance known to cause the exact symptoms I reported... read more

My son was seen on Monday, I went to park the car to come back to find him vomiting in the floor and not a soul helping him. We were seen and the nurse had the personality of a potato and acted like we were bothering her so bad. Anyway, they did an act scan with no dye but on MyChart says dye was used so lie. He was given a muscle relaxer prescription for a medicine we clearly told them he already took. Released as just pain. Took him to Baptist health ER and before I forget this is my 2nd review because weird my first one w... read more

It also said that they couldn’t see or identify my appendix on the scan, and that my urinary bladder is collapsed, which wasn’t mentioned before they let me go. So here I am still in pain with no answers, they always say to follow up with a primary docto... read more

I've been there myself three times in an emergency in my lifetime and many, many times with other family members. It's been a mixed bag of care. I'm basing my review on about twenty-five visits there ranging from elderly family to my young children over the past forty years. The visits, the doctors and the staff at Berea have generally been a little bit better than average, especially in comparison to visits at Richmond and the hospitals in Lexington. This hospital is small and more family oriented. The ones in Lexington may... read more
