I've been there myself three times in an emergency in my lifetime and many, many times with other family members. It's been a mixed bag of care. I'm basing my review on about twenty-five visits there ranging from elderly family to my young children over the past forty years. The visits, the doctors and the staff at Berea have generally been a little bit better than average, especially in comparison to visits at Richmond and the hospitals in Lexington. I will be lodging a formal complaint as to my daughter's care at this facility (Thursday)on Monday so what happened to her doesn't happen to another child ever again. It is criminally insane the ammount of Hippa laws violated and parental consent violated. I get that there are protocols but there should be better options of care than a facility with a 1.8 star rating or an adult facility with severe mental cases for a minor to go to in cases of ideas of self harm.
