Had a quiet and peaceful few days, glad I brought my own hotplate
We had a nice stay for several nights. As many others have pointed out- it’s definitely rustic and there are rodents. We came prepared for that and brought totes for food etc. There was no camp host during our stay, so lots of campers up late on site, and the last night of the stay someone from Friends of Kentucky Camp had been by to work on the cabin (he left a note that he had been there), but he left the door to the cabin unlocked and standing open for hours between when he left and when we returned. Great drive, took a little bike ride while there. Some very nice trails throughout the area!
Great little cabin with hiking and exploring nearby. The cabin sleeps four and there is an outhouse and open air kitchen outside. No running water inside,but a hose and faucets outside The cabin does have power, and included a refrigerator and fan when we stayed.
Loved the experience and it was a very nice place. The stars are so close it really is amazing.
