My follow-up diagnostic mammogram at LCRH was quoted to me at $1173 WITH INSURANCE. However, it cost me $550 at Kentucky Breast Care , and that was self-pay, without using my insurance which doesn't contract with them as a participating provider under my plan. Plus, the wonderful Dr. Woodroof read the scan during the appointment (no waiting on a result letter in the mail 7-20 business days later and then having to schedule the next step), AND she did an unscheduled ultrasound to double check AT THE SAME APPOINTMENT. Stay Clear of this place !!! I took my mother to her appointment which was at 11:30 and we arrived at 11:10 Upon arriving the first employee told my mother she would have to wait in which no one was in front of her!!! The Lady was in the restroom (which how would we know that ) Then second employee had my mother to come to her window to tell her she was too early (20 min!!! In which my mother had to fill out paper work !! She told my mother she would have to wait behind I’m not sure who because no one was in waiting room !!!... read more
