"Dr" Harkey proved to be the least concerned person I spoke to at the ER. EVERYONE else I encountered was very pleasant and comforting. I have never, ever spoken to a Dr or any professional the way I had to with him. I came in with shingles (which were already diagnosed at my primary Dr office). I have had shingles several times before and even had the vaccine. This time, the only difference was, no blisters. Rude and dismissive. Came in a day after being released from an emergency surgery for a problem with my belly drain. He barely peaked at it, made a dismissive comment, and left. I heard him treating other patients in the same manner. I was seen by an extremely professional and caring resident thankfully. She was great and quickly took care of my issue. Dr. Harley needs to find another profession, perhaps with the IRS.
Kent Harkey is highly unprofessional, showing a complete lack of concern for patients and consistently dismissing their health issues and engages in malpractice. I had an unfortunate experience at this location where I was racially and religiously discriminated against and was denied treatment by the doctor. The physician displayed dismissive behavior, disregarding my concerns and denying me treatment stating a kidney infection, shortness of breath, and chest pain weren't significant enough to warrant a hospital visit.
