It was nice at first, then it just got worse and worse each year. Community events decreased, it got harder to get questions answered, and all my renewal paperwork etc would show up weeks after it was dated or not at all. Maintenance issues got answered slower and slower, then eventually my calls were never answered. My apartment started smelling damp all the time, my garbage disposal stayed broken, and I finally had enough when my ac broke in the height of summer and I couldn't get any answers on any sort of timeline. I have loved living here and I am on my eighth lease The staff have been more than accommodating to me and my health issues. They go out of their way to return calls and answer emails asap. Maintenance men are great !!The grounds are well kept and peaceful for walking. Very safe!!! Thanks for helping me make this my home!
So far only three stars. And all because of the smoking that penetrates right into our room where a small child sleeps. I want to open the balcony to have fresh air, but it is impossible to do because it smells very strongly of smoking. When we signed the contract, it was written in the agreement that these are non-smoking apartments, but it turned out to be different. Much to our regret. But otherwise I like everything very much. We have been living here for a year.
Lived here for two years and I would live here again if it weren’t for one thing that I feel goes overlooked in these reviews: The road that leads into Kensington Place is a traffic nightmare. Sweeten Creek Rd is one of many Asheville roads that was not built with population booms in mind, which the city has seen in obscene amounts in the past five years.
