I got there at 4:35 PM as a walk-in and waited until 5:50 PM for a haircut. During that time, I watched seven people who came in after me get taken back. One of the employees eventually explained that appointments were being prioritized, which I understand—but it was also pretty obvious that at least some of the people being taken ahead of me were walk-ins who had apparently been recognized from previous visits. Just got my haircut at Kenny Mac’s Barbershop in Chicago and when I say it’s TEA, I mean it. I was cut by Kenny Mac himself (the owner), and wow… this is hands-down the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Super clean, sharp, and perfectly tailored to my head and face. You can tell he really knows his craft and takes pride in what he does. The vibe in the shop is solid, professional, and welcoming. I walked out feeling confident as hell. I’m 100% coming back — Kenny Mac officially got a new regular.

Eureka, I think I finally found my barber. After almost three years in Chicago and trying what feels like 10 different barbershops, Treehouse really came through. I don’t want to speak too soon, but this first cut was exactly what I was hoping for. He did a great job, listened, and made the whole experience feel easy. The vibe inside was also awesome. Good energy, great music, very R&B, very much my vibe. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Treehouse and Kenny Mac’s Barbershop.

I’ve worked with 3 barbers total now. AO, Rob, Now Treehouse, all barbers did amazing work in their own way. I take my haircuts very seriously and each barber paid attention to detail while taking my opinion and wants into consideration! They care about their clients here and that’s why they are the best in the city! AO, Rob, now Treehouse is my go too! I was looking for a barber on the north side who had been barbering for a while and had the skills that I was looking for. He actually had a website with pictures of his work, the shop, and an intro about himself. The vibe in the shop was warm, inviting, and lowkey. Kenny was very professional, courteous, a great listener and can execute a cut very well.
