Convenient This is a convenient stop on my many trips to Gettysburg from Fairfield. I like the layout and I can always find what I want in this newly remodeled store. I've found that prices on bread, milk, produce and meats are the same everywhere and I use my card to get savings on the rest. We are not big meat eaters, but when we do we get it at Kennie's. They use local farmers for their meats and it is consistently great.
Good gravy but this place needs a face lift... Yes, I know, they are trying desparately to find another home for this store. But, man, it is dingy and dank. I feel like I'm stepping back into the 1970s when I shop here. I can't wait until they open the shiny and new Kennie's, because this place is just depressing. Oh, and the prices are WAY high if you don't have your Gold Club Shopper's Card (which I always manage to forget).
Go anyplace else For my grocery dollar, I would go to any of the other supermarkets in town. Kennie's is poorly maintained and it always makes me feel like a roach might run out from under one of the shelves at any moment.
