I had a referral to see a surgeon and Montefiore picked this guy. He barely asked any questions, completely disregarded the pain I have been suffering from. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I already don't like going to see doctors and this visit surely didn't help!
The worse service I have ever received at doctor’s office. The wait time was more than an hour in the middle of a pandemic with a room full of people in the waiting room. My mother was in obvious distress and nothing was done to tend to her while we waited for more than an hour. We spent less than two minutes with this doctor after waiting for so long. We had to wait for EMS in the waiting room. He couldn’t spare a room.
I had a consultation with Dr. Kenneth Shapiro for a hemorrhoid problem. We started discussing it and I asked if keeping the area dry would be beneficial. He remarked "that will be hard to do being you're a BIG girl." I am a 31 year old woman who is a little overweight. This comment was insensitive and rude, and really hurt my feelings. Dr. Shapiro performed surgery on me five years ago. I returned today for a check up, as I thought I may have reinjured myself. He is still the same profession physician that I recall from 2012. He answered all my questions without hesitation. I highly recommend him to family, friends, and the Bronx community!
