I am so thankful to Dr. Kopacz. Nearly four years ago, he performed a mocrodiscectomy on on my L4-L5. I couldnt walk, could barely lift my young child, and was completely hopeless. Since then, I am completely pain free, and can play golf, ski, and run like it never happened. Unlike many surgeons I met with prior, Dr. Kopacz is very conservative and only sought surgery as the last option. He is kind, patient, and has no ego to speak of. Give him a chance; he could very well change your life.
Terrible outcome! He performed a lumbar fusion on me in 2002 and he absolutely ruined me! Postoperatively at 3 months and at 6 months I still had severe ongoing pain. Finally on the 9 month visit he HEARD me and ordered a CT scan and there was what is called “non-union” of my lower back which is failed back surgery where he operated on me. I ended up going to HSS in New York but they were never able to get me pain-free and for 21 years I’ve had chronic back pain and I am still n disability. Kopacz was very nice and treated my wife with care, his staff Anna Cruz was very great to work with and helped us every step very patient great work !
Dr Kopacz is the very best. I am 79 now and He has done 3 surgeries on me the last one yesterday. He saw me on Monday and he scheduled me for surgery that week. He also repaired my mother’s spine. He is not only the most skilled he is also a caring kind considerate and compassionate doctor who really listens and talks to his patient as if he/she was the only one. I am so happy to be his patient. I feel fortunate to have the very best orthopedic surgeon.
