My appointment with Dr. Schaefer today was the most upsetting and frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a physician. The entire visit felt like an argument. I explained my symptoms and showed photos, but he responded with complete disregard, invalidating everything I said. My husband and I were so shocked with the way he spoke to his patients. Incredibly rude and condescending and tells you: “you have 7 minutes, speak now”. First time interacting with a doctor who specifically goes out of his way to be mean for no reason.

Poor bedside manner. Rude and condescending. Definitely doesn’t want to treat women.
I had my concerns completely dismissed. I am here to help others and not to tarnish anyone. If he would have listened to me my health outcome could have been different. He should have referred me to gastroenterology immediately. He did not. Please advocate for yourself. Choose someone who is willing to listen to their patient. I later found someone and it saved my life.
