I should have read the other reviews before seeing Dr. Scioscia. He was pretty awful. First he had his PA speak to me at length about my symptoms without being present. When he finally walked into the room he didn’t speak to me, he spoke to his recorder. He was only interested in processing me as quickly as possible while billing for as many unnecessary codes as he could conjure up. I have been using Dr. Scioscia for years and can attest that he is very professional, caring, always listens to me and took his time at each visit. Additionally, he writes a thorough report after for my other doctors to follow summing my visit and what we spoke about which is rare. His office staff is very accommodating at both locations. I have been to a myriad of physicians including those in the Mayo Clinic, Hopkins and Yale. I have had very rude, unprofessional doctors at these places not here. Visited Dr. Scioscia due to severe vertigo. During the exam, he said, "you have a small bit of earwax, would you like me to remove it?" and I said sure, thinking it was part of the exam. Much to my surprise, there was $255 charge for "removal of impacted earwax" on my bill! I was not told that I would be charged for this during the visit - he didn't use any special equipment, he even said it wasn't impacted, he didn't do anything I could not have done at home with a Q-tip.
