This so-called “helping” professional was actually judgmental and selfish during my sessions.
The ethical and intellectual bar for psychology gatekeepers is low. Cate instructed me to do something that would jeopardize my employment simply to satisfy her curiosity. I demonstrate a higher ethical standard than this self-absorbed gatekeeper.
I met with a counselor and described my situation and therapy goals. When we met she was taking new clients. But a couple weeks later she refused to schedule any more sessions because she was suddenly not taking new clients. Wasted my time and money and sounded like a fake excuse.
Met with Cate Brandon. Suspicious, conventional, and parochial. I've traveled and lived an unconventional life, which she unnecessarily pathologized. She seems to have lived her entire life in this area and shows suspicion of people like me who traveled and experimented.
