We recently completed a major renovation with KDB in our South End home. We worked with KDB from start to finish and they were a great partner and we are very happy with the final result. They knew how to work with building management, were respectful of the neighbors, did everything reasonably possible to manage dust and disruption, and communicated well throughout the project. Echo the other sentiments of the other negative reviews. If you're a neighbor, be aware that they will probably damage your property. Their roofer didn't use the south end required slate shingles and instead used cheapy asphalt ones. They also installed a divider on our property and destroyed some of our expensive slate shingles that we put in a few years before they worked on the neighboring property. I can’t comment on their work. But an indicator of their professionalism would be how they dispose of waste. These clowns have left a bundle of their parking signs, among other trash, in an ally near their project in the south end. I was left to clean up their careless act. These aren’t the people I’d trust to work on my home.
I’m the resident below a project they are doing in the Back Bay. I cannot comment on their workmanship. I can tell you as someone who lives beneath them in a 2.5 million dollar condo…they are an unmitigated disaster. They subcontract people with no regard for the other inhabitants in of the building. They leave doors unlocked, shut off power and water and don’t restore items back as they found them.
