I was up there right after first of the year on my snowmobile. It was fun being all by myself. The locals was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing tour. The NPS is doing a great job restoring this old mine. Tour was great and very informative. Definitely would recommend to others.

Get the bracelet to ride the van shuttle at the mercantile. Fascinating history and structural engineering! Processing the copper and the transportation was a big deal. Found the labor dispute letter interesting and revealing of the conditions. It was displayed in the room with the movie. After a short trail walk to the glacier (leave enough time to catch the shuttle back), we stopped at the lodge for beers and a cookie. Actually we actually did not make it there. It was a 52 mile dirt road on a mountain getting to there, with no guard rails. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive.
