The staff ignored the orders of my grandmother's doctor, pureed food, she was given solid food, breaking one of her teeth off leading to her swallowing the tooth. My grandmother died in the hospital battling an infection. One of the worst people I have ever had any association with works here, Mary Atthowe, ex-principal of Waddell Elementary.
Kendal is a wonderful place, for rehabilitation or in a permanent stay. The staff could not be any better in keeping the needs of each resident taken care of. My wonderful mother - in- law spent time there after a stroke for rehabilitation, could not ask for any better care. The food was like going to a fine resturant. I would love to live there. I hope to move in in late Spring 2016. Will miss Alexandria and DC but it best to prepare for 'old' age while still 'young'!!
They were really good to our Mother while she was there. And we thank the staff for the great care
