I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from Kenkor. We called Kenkor to diagnose an elevator issue, and a technician was dispatched the same day. After a brief inspection, he stated that nothing was wrong, placed the elevator back into service, and left. However, he failed to inspect the compartment marked “Under Maintenance” and ignored warning signage posted both inside the elevator and in the elevator equipment room. We switched to Kencor when our longtime, profoundly knowledgeable elevator inspector indicated that it was his company. As a non-profit deeply embedded in the community we do prefer to do business with locally owned companies when possible, and we had a high regard for Mr. Kennedy. For several years everything was fine. Elevator care is always expensive, of course. But in the last 3-4 years, their pricing has become predatory and dishonest. Work done without proper approvals.
