RICHARD VOGEL I experienced a very similar situation with my Volvo xc60 SUV. To start my car you have to put the key fob in and depress the brake as you push the start button, but for some reason it was not letting the brake pedal go down. I went to O Reilly's and a very I mean checked out the battery and it was full charged and the alternator was fine e so he put a new battery in the key fob.
