Dr Galster performed an emergency gallbladder removal for me and I have to say he is a pretty amazing surgeon. He took time to explain, listened to my concerns and was not hesitant to adhere to my requests. This was my first time ever at Wing and I was pleasantly impressed. From the moment I arrived to the ER, to the Med-Surg unit to the operating room everything went smoothly. The staff was great and I would definitely recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to back if necessary.
I had a horrible experience with this surgeon. He did not fully inform me of ever single procedure happening to my body while sedated. I was not aware until after surgery of what had happened. I was not informed and no way of knowing unless discussed even consent forms did not have this on them. I was not consenting and no effort made by anyone on the team to discuss this with me. Dr. Galster performed a routine colonoscopy for me at Wing Memorial Hospital. He was friendly, caring and answered all of my questions. The procedure went well… recovery was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend Dr. Galster and the team at Wing for this type of procedure.
I had gallbladder removal surgery done by Dr. Galster at Baystate Wing Hospital. I was very nervous about the operation but he was able to alleviate my fears by listening carefully, explaining everything very well and not rushing me to make my decision. The surgery went very well and his team was very professional. Also, at the follow-up appointment, I found that his office staff and nurses are friendly and helpful.
