Never felt more pushed out of an appointment and ignored as a patient in my life. Went in to check for a hernia and she barely let me finish my thoughts and didn’t seem to care about anything I was saying. Every time I had a comment or question I felt like she had already decided that I’m just a stupid civilian and she just wanted me to shut up, accept her diagnosis and leave. Dr Nolan saved my life by doing surgery in the middle of the night!
If you want an MD who doesn’t listen to you see this doctor. She talks over you not to you. When things go terribly wrong it is not her fault. Do not go to her if you value your life.
I do not recommend this physician to anyone. A visit with her and her staff is an extremely disheartening experience at a time when you need trust and rapport with your surgeon. This person and her staff made me feel that my concerns were not valued and that I was not worthy of a high-quality result. I also am concerned that she and her staff are not as knowledgeable as they should be about navigating insurance authorization guidelines. Please get a second opinion if going to this doctor.
Dr. Nolan is one of the best doctor I have been lucky to know in the past year, she is very thorough and makes a point to find out all she can about you and how she can best help you.
I had an appendectomy preformed by doctor Nolan. My incisions are infected and I was told they could not get me a follow up until a week from now. I am sick, and in pain because I was not given an enough pain medication and I was forced to see another doctor to get antibiotics. Doctor Nolan was not plesent or helpful in person or afterwards.
I went to the ER at IMC for an emergency appendectomy. After seeing 5 different doctors, I waited 7 hours for surgery and was not given adequate pain medication. I explained to Dr. Nolan, another doctor, a resident, and a nurse that I was in pain from the appendectomy and a C-Section that I had 3 months prior. Upon discharge, I was not given adequate pain medication. I called Dr. Nolan and her nurse told me to take Advil. At my follow-up, Dr. Nolan said I slipped through the cracks.
