I recently had an appointment with Dr. Carmichael at UTMB Orthopedics regarding my son’s wrist injury, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment he entered the room, he never introduced himself or attempted to establish any rapport. His communication was minimal, unprofessional, and dismissive. My Grandson was born with bilateral club foot. My grandson started seeing Dr. Carmichael just shortly after he was born. Our experience has been less than ideal. While the staff in the office were absolutely fantastic, Dr. Carmichael never once explained the process or even answered our questions for that matter. I recently had a very concerning experience with Dr. Kelly Carmichael. After reviewing my daughter's x-rays, he entered the room, stated she was 'just growing' and 'fine,' and then left without further explanation. There was no introduction or discussion of his findings. He did mention she could put weight on her injury, but she experiences pain when doing so. I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience with Dr. Carmichael at UTMB. From the moment he entered the room, his demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. He provided no introduction or explanation for the necessary x-ray for my two-month-old baby.
