The Great Pumpkin Run was well planned, wide paths were mowed so as to allow for multiple runners, and the staggered start times allowed for runners from farther away to participate. However, it was not family friendly for spectators. Pay to play was the rule (unknown to us when we signed up, driving from an hour and a half away to do this event) for the use of the playground in sight of the packet pickup area. Thank you for your comments. Our website clearly states on the Weekend Activities page that our activities begin at 9:00am. Our staff was busy assisting with the race as we were told to do by The Great Pumpkin Run directors. Within the gated area is our corn maze which has to be heavily staffed for safety reasons. We had to keep the public out of the gated area due to these staffing issues. There was not a fee to watch the runners. I will share your comments as we plan for next year. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Went for apples yesterday and they HoneyCrisp trees were packed so glad I went when I did.. The staff was great but so sad the doughnuts were not ready yet I will have to go back!!
