A great hospital, staff and Doctors
I was admitted here for 6 weeks over Christmas 2023 following a dangerous depressive episode, the Doctors and Nurses were absolutely fantastic. I still return weekly for a trauma recovery program and feel so calm once I arrive, the staff and allied health professionals are very committed and patient, highly competent and remarkably resilient. My treatment here has improved my quality of life and helped me to achieve a level of balance and calm I haven’t experienced in many years.
Deplorable. For an organisation that prides itself on "veteran care", they sure are making a mockery of things. What you see in the main foyer of GPH is far from the reality that occurs behind closed doors. The go to answer is always medication, instead of addressing the root cause. With the royal commission into veteran suicide being at the forefront, this dump has a lot to answer for.
