Been a patient for 20 years now I will not go anywhere else.
Dr. Friedenberg is very… abrupt. Doesn’t seem to remember his patients ? Asks questions then doesn’t listen to answers , sorta throws samples at you and hurries you out . They seem to always be running late ? They want deposits for services … just a weird experience and not helpful after an entire year of trying.
Concerned more about their money than my health. I have medical mutual insurance with no copay. I have a 5000 family deductible/200 per pay taken out into Account to pay that deductible per year. I am billed and I again have no copay. Long story short I took a sick day for procedure and they called me demanding $500 upfront or I can’t get the procedure done. so, in other words, if I had cancer I get to die because they didn’t get their $500 upfront.. Great Lakes Gastroenterology, Keith A. Friedenberg, let me count the ways this man and his staff deserve this one star rating (I would give 0 if I could). He’s arrogant, dismissive and always late. I sat there waiting in the hot hot waiting room only to go sit in the back room to wait again. I waited 1 hour past my appointment time to be seen and not heard. His staff has the same mentality, you can be sitting there trying to make a follow up appointment and his assistant will get up mid conversation to help her coworkers or ... read more
If your insurance is not "up to par" don't get your hopes up for finding answers and/or solutions. Just saving yourself some time and go somewhere else.
