Very cool venue!
I typically don’t place dissatisfactory recommendations but this place surely deserves it. I bought a concert ticket to Ole 60 here and it was abruptly canceled on the day of the concert, and I could not attend on the rescheduled date because I was out of town on vacation. I reached out to them directly several times regarding this asking for a refund of my ticket or perhaps even a gift card or credit for future purchases by phone and email, but instead they ignored my calls and I was unable to get my refund. The venue has a certain charm for a small town. It's clear that there's heart behind it, and the effort to bring live music and popular artists to the area is appreciated. However, the sound quality and knowledge of the people controlling the sound boards is extremely lacking. The sound quality is overbearing/over-amplified and drowns out the singer and other instruments. You know, it's not a bad place to see a concert, which we did, and which was a great time. However, it would have been nice if they had turned on at least a few of the parking lot lights. Especially since the parking lot would make a good place to test an off road vehicle. Also, and more seriously, the parking lot, and especially the area in front of the entrance was an ice skating rink. Perhaps they could afford to buy a bag or two of ice melt.
