I have a like hate relationship with this venue. We had our daughter's reception here. The entire process was a struggle. The owners really need new management. We really should have gone to another venue. When you are the client you shouldn't have to give several punch lists of things that needed to be fixed, corrected or cleaned. The owners got involved thanks to our fabulous wedding planner and things were semi corrected, but like I said a struggle and unnecessary stress added to our plates. As a wedding photographer in the Hudson Valley, I'm always curious about new venues, and being able to photograph a wedding at Keepsake at the Academy in Poughkeepsie was a great experience. The mural on the exterior of the building is fantastic for portraits; it's really vibrant and adds a lot of visual interest to the photos. We had our wedding at Keepsake a few weeks ago and it was absolutely incredible!!! Dana was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We loved doing our tasting there with our parents. We stopped by to tour the space multiple times since we planned most of it ourselves - and Dana was always there to answer questions and give great advice. It is such a cool venue. It is a second floor walk up with a very narrow staircase. Bathrooms are clean and nice. Drinks were expertly made by the bartender.

We held our high school reunion at keepsake and couldn’t be happier with this venue. The staff was enthusiastic and professional and tended to all our needs throughout the evening. The food was great and the event planner very helpful in making selections to accommodate all dietary needs. I highly recommend this venue!
