June 1, 2024 Keener EMTs responded within minutes to my parent’s 911 call. My 84 yr old mother was in full cardiac arrest (the deadliest kind called the “widow maker.”). The responding EMTs not only kept her alive, but took her to the closest hospital that happened to be one of the best in cardiac care. They let ED know exactly what was going on and Franciscan Health Crown Point had OR ready and waiting for her arrival. She was not expected to survive.
