I work with Native girls and youth and have always struggled to find professional mental health support that is not only competent but also culturally aware and grounded. We saw Dr. Kealoha for a psychological evaluation of our 5-year-old son to help us figure out if he was ready for Kindergarten. The evaluation was so helpful and gave us specific recommendations and accommodation suggestions for the classroom. Dr. Kealoha even provided us with some tips to help our child with the transition! I have never met a provider with such expertise that can breakdown and explain complex matters so well to nervous, overwhelmed parents! Her knowledge of services, and more importantly - how to access them, was truly remarkable.
