Great, cheap food Kealani's is one of those hole-in-the-wall type places unless you meander along downtown Encinitas often. They serve great Hawaiian style food and it is really cheap. The indoor seating is very limited and they do have some outdoor tables, but on the weekends and when they have musicians playing, it is usually packed. The entertainment they provide is a wonderful accompaniment to the meal; we've been there for a couple Hawaiian bands, as well as a ukelele group which accepts drop-in players.

Good food This is a great little place for yummy Hawaiian food. They do catering and it's really good. Your guests will be impressed by the unique fare. The pork is awesome, mouth watering. Highly recommended.

great place after a day at the beach It's tasty. It's relaxing and the prices are affordable. The chicken long rice is what I always love to share with my kids. They also have great gifts.

Great Hawaiian Food in A Wonderful Setting The table menus with the pigeon sayings on them are my favorite memory of this restaurant. We'd come to Kealani's, buy a few plate lunches (chicken katsu and bbq teritaki are our favorites) and head to the beach for the day. The scene in the restaurant is relaxed and has that genuine island beach feel, especially in the town of Encinitas. I wouldn't come here to purchase merchandise though as the stuff is a little pricey.

Not very good. It seems like every plate comes with a big glob of macaroni salad, which is pretty much a ton of sweetened mayo with a bit a pasta and very little veggies. The chicken is just alright- too much gristle, though the sauce is thick and tasty.
