I received my grandfather's violin from my aunt and took it in to be evaluated. The service was great. I got the good news that the violin was in good shape and needed only a few repairs and new strings. The work was done within a few days and I have my heirloom back to show off to the family at Thanksgiving. I was happy to find that the shop has lessons too.

Worth a Stop: KC Strings Violin Shop KC Strings are more of a private family business and have a good selection of instruments, though they are primarily string instruments. Once you buy their instruments you can sell it back and upgrade to another or newer instrument. Their handmade violins are descent just be sure to take your time in choosing. The facade of the building looks a little run down but inside is where some great deals can be found.
