Ultimately, the company returned my earnest money deposit since the contract was void. The salesperson sold me on a 7k additional lot premium, for stunning mountain views, only to actually find they would build a 10ft 4 inch wall in my backyard, which entirely and completely blocked all views of the mountain. I'm not sure that KBHOME as an overall builder is awful, but they certainly turned a blind eye in this instance, allowing its Salesforce to misrepresent material facts and sell in an unethical way.
