Dismiss all sales talk of their “10 Year Structural Warranty”. KB Homes will not honor it. They won’t even send someone out. Let me begin by saying I’m not unpleased with my home. I’m unpleased with the builder. We downsized into a new townhome 6 years ago. I didn’t build it, it was inventory and we paid cash, no mortgage. This past year we had roofing issues around all of the pipe jacks. 7 out of 9 total were leaking into our attic, causing significant water damage and mildew on our second floor ceiling. Make sure they tell you that the roof warranty is only 1 year on the installation. I’m 1.5 years in and have problems. The sales people don’t tell you everything. I was told something different on the roof. Make them give it to you in writing.they also didn’t tell me about the sprinkler warranty being 90 days. They conveniently don’t tell you things to sell the home. I’m a professional salesperson and I am disgusted
