Super bon et bonne ambiance ! Les rolls sont préparés au bar, juste devant nous, au fur et à mesure, dans une ambiance tamisée. Le riz est savoureux et le poisson est fondant. J’ai particulièrement aimé les rolls au saumon. Le contraste entre la chaleur du riz et le fraîcheur du poisson y est aussi pour quelque chose. La recette est simple mais les ingrédients sont au rendez-vous. On ne peut qu’apprécier !! L’attente est longue mais c’est manifestement l’apanage des restaurants new-yorkais.

I feel like the odd one out for not liking this place as much. The rice has a really strong flavor to it that overpowers the taste and I couldn’t really taste the more delicate fish. I get that some people like the warm rice, but for me I didn’t like how quickly it made half the seaweed soggy because of the steam. Yes I’m eating it right as they give it to me, but it starts getting soft like right away. There’s always a queue and you’ll likely wait 30 mins at the minimum if you go in the evening BUT it’s worth because these are genuinely the best hand rolls ever. I’ve tried the salmon, yellowtail, and toro. Gosh I’m going to be dreaming about them….
