Kazahana is our favorite dining option in Telluride. Chef K is a true master of his craft and also a genuinely kind person. He takes the time to explain the restaurant’s offerings in detail, which makes the experience even more special. Chef Tony is another wonderful ambassador for this world-class establishment. Cozy sushi bar with a great selection of fresh fish and a creative menu. Had the chef Tony make us a special roll that was a work of art and tasted great. Recommend sitting at the bar, it’s fun to chat with the chefs as they work. Prices are in the fine dining range with rolls between $18 -$45.
If you're intending to go for happy hour, be mindful that it is only available upstairs where there is limited seating. Essentially first come first serve for these seats, no way to specify if you make a reservation. The manager came out to talk to our table about the confusion and she was very condescending to the point that we almost got up and left. They did end up honoring HH pricing, which we were grateful for. Food was delicious and service was good as well.
