We had a fantastic experience on the Sea Islands tour. Although I love to kayak on lakes, I had never done so on the ocean, and I was a bit nervous, but I quickly got over the feeling. Our guide Danica was very professional and obviously had safety as a top priority. She was very knowledgable about the area, and we got to see two species of puffins, other seabirds, otters and seals. Excellent tour around the islands off Near Island. The instructor was very welcoming and made sure the group were safe. We saw an otter, seal, eagles and sea birds. I can recommend this tour.
Had so much fun with guide Danica, manager Jeremiah, and adorable shop dog Banjo. Saw so many puffins it was insane! Sea otters, seals, porpoise, and many other sea birds also made appearances, along with the mountaintops after some bad weather! What a great trip, would highly recommend for any Kodiak adventure - gotta get on the water while you're there!
We had a great time kayaking with Kayak Kodiak. We had our kids (too young to paddle) with us so we were a little slower, but our guide was so accommodating. She was knowledgeable about the Island and wildlife. We saw sea otters, sea lions, eagles, and many other birds.
