I have refused to shop at Kay for 24 yrs. It all stemmed from a diamond wedding band that was in the shop more than it was on my finger the entire first year I was married. Between the state of Florida and Washington DC I spoke with more Regional managers, corporate people, in store managers then I can begin to explain. No one, and I mean no one, would swap out my ring which clearly had a defect unless I paid twice its value. I refused to ever give more money to a company that wouldn't stand behind it's product.
