I came into the Kay Jewelers at Layton Hills Mall to have my ring and my girlfriend’s promise ring inspected and cleaned, as required every six months to maintain the warranty I purchased when I originally bought my ring in February. As a loyal customer of Kay Jewelers for over ten years, I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience. I bought a ring that was discontinued and simply wanted it repaired. Instead, the manager was rude and dismissive, and I was forced to pay $190 at Morgan Jewelry for the repair—an expense I should not have to bear, given my lifetime warranty and insurance.
