I was a migraine patient starting around the age my daughter is now. When I was the kid on the table, it was awful. Let’s just say I have a HOST of medical trauma. Dr. Rao treated my daughter, who now gets migraines (booooo,) with respect, dignity, focus, and medical knowledge. Honestly she changed the world for us a little today. Do recommend.

I originally posted this on the pediatrics website, but they don’t even have her listed as a provider, so I thought it should be better posted here. I had concerns regarding one of my children (who is 10)--if I had concerns earlier, I would have come in when he was younger. I admit I was late to the appointment, due to an appointment I had previously which went 45 min earlier. I can’t reccomend Dr. Rao enough. I wish every doctor was as patient, thorough, and invested as she is. Utah is lucky to have her!

We have had 2 appointments with Dr. Rao for my daughter’s migraines. Dr. Rao has been attentive and helpful during the appointments. During our last visit, Dr. Rao wanted to have a spinal tap done by primary children’s hospital to see if this would help relieve some pressure and we were told that her office would contact primary children’s for the referral and that primary children’s would give us a call. We had been to multiple doctors for our son’s seizures, and each time, we felt like no one was taking the time to truly understand what was going on and pushing him to the side as not being severe enough to pay attention to him.
