I debated doing this review but I think it needs to be done as a warning. My health was declining and my g.p. strongly suspected something rheumatic. I waited 4 months for an appointment and Dr. Allem spent minutes listening then told me "you have alot going on but they are all separate things." She said I had fibromyalgia and to take one celebrex a day and come back in 6 months. If possible, I would give Kavitta Allem 0 stars. In fact, I will be reporting her to the Medical Board after writing this review. Kavitta should NOT be a practicing Rheumatologist, let alone a practicing/licensed doctor. After giving her a second try, I have come to the conclusion that everyone's reviews are spot-on. In a immensely short span of time, Kavitta has managed to make me feel like a crazy person, with an emphasis on being fat. I feel validated reading others’ similar experiences, as this reflects my own. In my interactions with Dr. Allem, I encountered a lack of validation and professionalism. My concerns and medical evidence were dismissed without meaningful discussion, and my symptoms were minimized. At times, the manner of communication felt disrespectful and condescending. I do NOT recommend this physician to patients seeking a rheumatologist who will listen, acknowledge legitimate concerns, and engage in evidence-based care.
